Hills & Dales Estate

Summer of 2024 I got a gardening job with Hills & Dales estate in my hometown, LaGrange GA. Every Tuesday I worked with a retired Horticulture teacher who does the arrangements for the house. Each week we made 5-6 arrangements for the house, with every stem sourced from the gardens. This was my first introduction to floral design, and I have loved it ever since! Below are a few of my arrangements from this summer.

Lynchburg Wedding

Fall of 2024 I got the opportunity to do the florals for my best friend and Roommates wedding. We ended up ordering 100 stems each of roses, Babys breath, and Italian Ruscus. I had lots of leftovers of the Ruscus and baby’s breath so I placed it down the center of the head table and made multiple smaller arrangements for the standing tables.

Lynchburg Wedding - Process

We got to the venue the day before and ended up doing the arrangements there. My other two roommates helped finishing touches, and we had SO much fun. I loved the processing phase and did lots of research on making the bouquets, boutonnieres, and micro bouquets for the grandmothers and mothers.
