Interior Design
For this class, we got the opportunity to learn about different types of three-dimensional digital drafting software. The first was SketchUp, with this we learned the different tools and all the different things you can do with the program. I enjoyed using this software, especially because you can import floor plans from AutoCAD and bring them to life!

Church Project - Exterior
The Exterior of the Church contributes to the first impression of whoever enters it. I decided to use a distressed brick with a darker roof. These colors create a more modern look while also keeping a traditional look with the bricks and siding.

Sanctuary
Sunday School Room
For the Sanctuary, I wanted to create a very natural but modern feel. To achieve this, I paired wood floors with wood pews. This is a place where the Church body gathers in unity, to worship the Great God Almighty. The room has big windows creating lots of light to illuminate the room and make the space feel welcoming and warm.
For the Sunday school room, I went with bright colors, along with a lot of seating. A fun room is important to keeping the kids engaged in the material they are learning! I also included lots of storage to keep the many supplies they may have.

Foyer
Nursery
The foyer is the first thing people experience when walking into the church. There are standing tables for greeters to stand with information, a coffee bar, and tables to enjoy conversation around a hot beverage. There is also a welcome desk and sitting area for fellowship.
For the nursery, I chose to place it adjacent to the sanctuary so that it is easy for families to access. This is also a place where nursing mothers can go for privacy while still being able to watch and listen to the sermon.

Shed Assignment
This assignment was our first introduction to SketchUp. We learned the importance of precision in the program. I really enjoyed getting to use the different tools to create a variety in the model. By raising and pushing back lines you can create texture in your project. After completing the digital model we got to 3D print it to create an actual model. This was very cool to see my work become a physical object.

Saffer Home model
For the Saffer home model we got the opportunity to use Revit and Lumion to create our design. I really enjoyed using Revit and all of the different ways that you can modify and create through the program. to render the images we used lumion. This by far is one of my favorite programs for rendering. It has so many options so that you can customize your design to fit your clients needs.

Saffer Home Revit Sheets
As we neared the end of the model home project in this class we created sheets of our models. These sheets show many different aspects of the design and how we got to each point. these sheets aid the designer, the customer, and the contractors. They are all really important steps in the design process.
